Pet Fish and Facebook Baby Stalking

Recently, as in this past Tuesday I purchased a beautiful deep red and blue male beta fish. I will note that I did ask for permission from my landlord, and they said it was okay as long as it was in a bowel and not in a fish tank. To let you all know I followed the rules and got a bowel.:) To get on with the story. It all happened when I was at Walmart the day before buying groceries. I happen to walk by the fish section and my eyes caught the sight of a beta fish blowing cute little bubbles at me in its little container. My heart immediately reached out and demanded that I save this poor little fish and give it a proper home. So my dear husband emailed our landlord that very night to see if it was okay if we got a fish, as we had a no pet contract for our apartment. They of course said yes and I got my fish. Once I had everything set up for the cute little guy I decided to post about my new fish on Facebook so that the world could share my joy. My dear Aunt Carla made a comment that the fish was not filling my psychological need for a pet but the immediate need to have a human baby. I at first denied this completely, and scolded my aunt in my head for being so silly. As I thought later on this comment I realized that my actions lately have indeed been proving this very statement. I have taken lately to doing an activity my husband calls Facebook baby stalking. I can't help but look at all the cute little pictures my friends post of their little bundles of joy on Facebook. Sometimes I even look at these pictures as many as three times a day. So yes my dear Aunt Carla, you do have wonderful insight, but when the time is right I will have a little bundle of joy of my own until then I will continue to deeply love my little beta fish.
p.s. My fishes full name is Cosmos Alpha Bradford or Mo fsh for short.:)

Cooking Experiements

Alright so it has been awhile since I have posted anything new here so I am now repenting. I have made a new goal this summer to learn how to become a better cook. So far my efforts have made interesting results to anything that remotely resembled food if it is not cooked in a crock pot.:) But at last I have found success in making a simple recipe that even my skills can't mess up. The following is the successful recipe.
Chicken Cheese Enchiladas
1 can of chicken breast
1 can of enchilada sauce
1 can of green chilies
1 can of cream of chicken soup
package of flour tortias (can't spell)
package of cheddar shredded cheese

Mix can of chicken, green chilies, and cream of chicken soup together in a bowel. Proceed to put filling in flour tortias and sprinkle a little bit of cheese and pour a little bit of enchilada sauce on top. Roll up tortia and cover top with enchilada sauce and shredded cheese. Make as many enchiladas that will fit in the casserole dish and put in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. And whala! You have a delicious home cooked meal. I always liked Mexican food.:)

Methods to Saving at Walmart

You know when you are in a married college town when you think of a great way to save money and then you see another couple already doing your great method. An example of this consists when my husband and I went to the wonderful, magical place called Walmart this last week. When we entered those blessed, sliding glass doors my husband insisted that we not take a shopping cart or basket. His explanation was we would buy less things if we had to carry them around the store and thus save money. His theory proved true because I choose to not buy apples because my hands were already full from carrying bread, milk, potatoes, and chips. Nutrition sometimes has to be sacrifice for the comforting taste that only Garden Salsa Sun Chips can bring. As I was making my way to the check out counter to my husband a loaf of bread slid off the pile I was carrying. A woman, who looked to be my age laughed at my predicament and proceeded to pick up the loaf for me and placed it polity on top of my pile. When I thanked her I noticed that her arms were almost as equally as full as mine and that she smiled towards a man who stood not far. Who I might add also had his arms full. The man turned out to be her husband and they also somehow knew of the arm carrying saving money at Walmart method. Now the secret is out no more does the frugal shopper need coupons just a pair of their own hands.:)

Me trying things that my husband likes to do

Part 1- Video Games, I still don't get it
About a month ago my husband Trevor asked if I wanted to play a video game with him called Age of the Empire. That experience turned out okay (thanks to past practice with my brothers and father.) Tonight he asked if I would like to play a mini video game called Star Craft 2. Needless to say my husband was very sweet in helping me figure out things with the game but our allies (other people that were playing online) were not so nice. Video gamer language in itself is not very kind when you are clueless. Don't worry, I am determined to try again when my husband is begging for a gaming buddy in another month. I have a few ideas on how to handle gamers now, after all it is only a game.:)

Introduction

I have decided that I need to start blogging about my current events or funny things that happen in my life especially since I am married to a bonified Spanish Fork Bradford and that is an adventure in itself. At the beginning of the school year I was having a bit of an identify crises because as many of you know I run cross country and track and field. To my teamates and coaches I am simply known as Sly. This name came about because that was my maiden name and my coach swears that it is a big part of my personality, no idea what he is talking about. Anyways that is why I have decided to incooperate the old with the name so that all may know who the dang I am. My own mother even now sometimes forgets that I am now a Bradford. She called me the other day all confused because she was looking at race results and she said she couldn't find my name anywhere but who was this new teammate Kirsten Bradford because she kept showing up in all the races I was supposed to be in. Love ya mom.:)
